Bass Pro Shops to partner with Convoy of Hope in Texas flood-relief efforts
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Bass Pro Shops is partnering with Convoy of Hope, an international disaster-response organization, to bring aid to the flood-stricken areas in the greater Houston region. From Thursday, June 9 through Thursday, June 23 Bass Pro Shops locations in Pearland and Katy, Texas will offer customers an opportunity to round up their purchase total for a donation benefitting Convoy of Hope’s flood relief efforts.
By donating to Convoy of Hope, customers will help provide:
- Emergency food, supplies and water to survivors
- Long-term help and hope to families in the greater Houston metro area
Bass Pro Shops partners with Convoy of Hope on disaster relief efforts nationwide as part of the company’s community and conservation initiatives. The partnership began in 2011 in response to the tragic tornado touchdown in Joplin, Missouri, located just 70 miles east of Bass Pro Shops headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. Later that year Convoy of Hope awarded Bass Pro Shops founder and CEO Johnny Morris along with his wife, Jeanie, with its annual Legacy Award.
