MAKO celebrates 50 years by unveiling its largest, most powerful boat ever

Legendary saltwater sportfishing brand continues industry-leading evolution with all-new 2018 MAKO 414 CC

MIAMI – Officials from MAKO today announced the largest, most powerful boat in the company’s remarkable 50-year history. The all-new 2018 MAKO 414 CC is now available in three editions, raising the bar of innovation and state-of-the-art technology in saltwater sportfishing boats.

On the heels of last year’s 2017 MAKO 334 CC release, the 2018 MAKO 414 CC takes power, storage and range to the next level. The 414 CC boasts an unmatched quad-outboard capacity of 1,675 horsepower; an oversized, cushioned bow lounge with a 275-quart insulated and drained cooler; and is versatile enough to please fun-loving families and hardcore anglers alike.

“The new MAKO 414 CC is a true celebration of passion and innovation that represents MAKO’s proud 50-year legacy of making boats that saltwater anglers love,” said Johnny Morris, Founder/CEO of White River Marine Group and an experienced saltwater angler. “With unprecedented design features to please avid anglers and bluewater-loving families, the 414 CC is the ultimate saltwater experience.”

Drawing upon a half-century of leading saltwater boat-building advances, the 414 CC is the apex predator of the MAKO lineup. At 41 feet long with a 143-inch beam and a massive fuel capacity of 562 gallons, the MAKO 414 also features a 24-inch deadrise hull with set-back transom and bow thruster.

Desired tech features include Garmin electronics, CZone digital switching MAKO exclusive SharkTooth monitoring app for iOS and Android, and interior and underwater LED lighting.

Two specialty editions of the cutting-edge MAKO 414 CC offer additional features:

  • The Bluewater Family Edition with Mercury JPO, retractable shade, cook top and refrigerator in the leaning station, seven fold-down seats, Fusion stereo, bow seating/table/filler, plus a walk-in stand-up head with freshwater shower (retractable hand-held), sink, toilet and a folding sleeping bunk/storage area.
  • The Sportfish Edition with two 50-gallon livewells, a tuna/dive door, Fusion stereo, multiple fish boxes, plus a walk-in stand-up head with freshwater shower, sink, toilet and a bunk/storage area.

It’s also backed by the best warranty in the boat industry – The MAKO 5+LIFE warranty – a five-year, stem-to-stern factory warranty that also includes a three-year warranty on the gelcoat finish and a limited lifetime structural warranty.

Using real world experiences and research, as well as regular feedback from boat owners, for 50 years MAKO has been refining its processes to cater to the ever-changing needs of saltwater anglers. Its well-established offshore boat quality has even been taken to inshore and freshwater anglers in a variety of models. The 414 CC will debut at the Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show and is ready for orders immediately.
